freetail provided a stand alone solution with remote connection for updates and support. This solution provided a reliable sales tool featuring all Amtico LVT products, laying patterns, borders and motifs, which can all be viewed in templates or customers’ uploaded photographs on the 55″ touch screen. Customers can email their photographs to the screen, and using 3D imaging software can create aspirational interiors. freetail have been deploying this solution, with updates, into the Amtico network of independent retailers since May 2015.
Better communication was the driver for East Kent College, which evolved into multiple projects that would enable better, faster and slicker ways to interact with the student community at the college.

At it's peak, Homebase engaged with their customers by deploying our interactive design and visualisation tools. "Create Your Own Look" the double award* winning in-store decorating tool supported by an online version accessed by 10,000 users a month providing a solution for their customers to visualise wall and floor coverings in their own homes.

We initially worked with i2i on a project for Genius Gluten free, writing a bespoke app for collecting customer product feedback at an exhibition, since then we have completed more of these type of projects directly with i2i, clients include Butchers pet food and most recently Kelly’s Ice Cream, where we utilised two 43” touchscreens on easels transported around the UK. Scotmid commissioned freetail to design an application for students to apply for a discount card via a kiosk in their stores, we had 6-8 weeks to produce a robust and scaleable solution. Key to Scotmid was integration into their own IT infrastructure to process the data. Supplied and installed within 6 weeks, the kiosks are now in regular use.
“We would like an interactive community notice board” was the statement from Stewart Ross, senior projects manager at Scotmid, somewhere for our customers and members to find out more about us, a system to allow two way feedback which can be updated quickly, easily and from a central point.
The Community touch screen was developed and deployed in 12 weeks, featuring community news, customer feedback, local suppliers, membership news, recipe ideas and meet the team. The system even won an award for best use of digital in a retail store!
There had been a 20 year association with Toys R Us, where freetail supported installation, maintenance and digital signage solutions, regular visits through the year to Toys R Us UK 80 store estate was covered by our network of regional engineers.
In 2005, freetail director, Stuart was instrumental in one of the largest retail digital signage networks, where Toys R Us installed an average of 24 screens in each of their stores, refreshed in 2011, the network of LED backlight 18.5” displays, backed by content support, represents the scale of our capabilities.
We are working with Toys R Us Inc on in-store retail theatre and digital signage projects to deploy globally across their own and there increasing estate of franchise stores.
